LITERARY WORKSHOP

Study, in French, of various works of English literature. The workshop is organised, thoughout a year, by Bernard SASSO, and its primary aim is to appreciate the riches and diversity of writing in English, from all over the world.
Various annual themes have been selected in recent years: for example contemporary works by Indian, Irish and South African writers.
The Workshop séances take place once a month, on a Wednesday afternoon at 15:00, and are held at the Annexe Mirabeau of the Cercle Naval, rue Mirabeau (not far from the  Toulon railway station). The dates are given in each monthly Bulletin of the Association.

Each month we will study (in French) literary works originally written in English. The workshop covers a year. The aim is to appreciate the richness and diversity of worldwide English language literature.
The year begins with a cycle of works by Charles Dickens (on the occasion of the bicentenary of his birth).

We have left the longest books to the end of the year in order facilitate their appreciation.
